The challenges that writers
face are beyond measure. Some encounter the problem of funding. They don't just
know where they can source money from, not to talk of getting it in sizeable quantity,
sufficient enough to get their work out. Others may manage to get some fund.
But the problem of getting an honest publisher is another dilemma they must
face. These writers may either fall into the hands of avaricious liars, who may
make all manner of promises to them; but when the work had been done, they
quit, leaving the author with the entire work of getting his book to the
market.
And this brings me to the
hardship involving marketing published writs. Even if a publishing company
agrees to market the book to their vendors, they will certainly go with the
lion share; something of about 70:30 or even less in ratio. If the writer
agrees, he may receive, perhaps, two-times payout. Any other money made from
that article or book fizzles into the pockets of the greedy publisher. Some
even go the extra mile of changing the names of the authors with theirs during
subsequent editions. And because they have more money than the author, there is
no how these authors can stand and make case with them in the court of law.
Just go into the market and you
will see seasoned graduates, who are intellectuals of the highest make,
strolling through motor garages, under a blistering sun, with large collection
of books they have written in their hands. They have to sell their works by
themselves! At the end of the day, some might even end up selling nothing. But
don’t be surprised; the contents of the writings are rich, deep and
well-reached in some cases. And because they are the one doing the selling,
people hardly see their work as something valuable and rich in content. The
first impression is that these are hungry writers. No matter how these learned fellows
try to convince people that their work is rich, people will never take them
serious. Those who may even try to buy one may price the book so low that when
you look at the seller, you are left with no other feeling about him than pity.
These and many more
complications make writing job a very boring and disgusting job. Somebody,
however, can avoid these insults from even illiterate people on the street, by
turning his writing into something that is more profitable than he can imagine.
For me to give you a brief
sketch of some of the things that writers go through, you should know by now
that I have gone through all those embarrassments myself. And it was my quest
for a green avenue, where I can make reasonable income from my writing skill
that I stormed the internet and began to make searches. I have uncovered many
juicy areas through which you and I can now deploy our writing prowess and from
them, harvest large amount of real money. In subsequent write-ups, I will share
with you about other avenues. But now, I shall talk about one aspect; and it is
called Real Writing Job.
Real writing job is a
platform, which allows you to sit in the comfort of your home, and from the
field which you have selected when you were registering with the website, topics
are sent to you by wealthy companies, who want people to help in writing either
short stories for them; or, to write info about what they produce, etc. They
pay reasonable amount of money per article. So, you make more money the more
articles you write. Rather than suffering under merciless a sun just to get
your written works sold to uninterested consumers, is it not better to just sit
at home, receive some topics, you research on them, write and send? Your money accumulates
gradually like that and at the end of the month, dollars are paid into your
account? I will not encourage you to let your writing skill die. Invest it into
something more precious and productive. By the way, you will pay nothing to
